The Mystery of St. George's Mountain: Book 1
The historical-adventure novel The Mystery of St. George's Mountain tells the story of events in Galicia during its occupation by Russian troops during the First World War (September 1914-June 1915). Attempts by Russian counterintelligence to introduce Captain Belinsky into the Austrian spy network reveal a secret that Uniate monks carefully hide in the depths of Mount St. George.
The reader will get acquainted with the atmosphere that prevailed in the days of hardships in the multinational city, many historical figures who were in Lviv at that time, the activities of the Russian administration, which tried to turn the Galician region into new provinces of Russia.
The book is based on materials from the funds of Russian and Ukrainian state archives and libraries, as well as the memories of the participants of the described events.
